After buying and downloading the popular eBook “The Truth About Six Pack Abs”, I found another interesting guide on how to lose fat called the Fatloss Training Guide.  After watching the video describing the book, I took the plung and downloaded it for $19.95. Here is what I have to say about it.

Its pros are it is concise and easy to read, it has charts to record you fat intake, body measurements and training sessions. It cons are that it is a summary and doesn’t go into any great detail.

Monster Maize

December 12th, 2009 · Bodybuilding, CytoSport

Waxy maize has become very popular with bodybuilders lately, not just in Australia, but internationally as well. With waxy maize, the major difference with waxy maize and other carbohydrates is the molecular weight.

Waxy maize is much higher molecular weight so what that means is it is absorb much quicker. With the Monster Maize you would use that while you train. The main thing Monster Maize is going to do because it is a carbohydrate, once again talking about the glycogen stores it is going to keep them full and you will also notice your energy levels while you are training will be better because there is fuel constantly coming into the body.

That is probably the best way to explain it.

CytoSport Muscle Milk Refuel Taking On The Energy Drinks

December 7th, 2009 · CytoSport

With the CytoSport Muscle Milk Refuel, it’s basically an energy shot that also contains protein. Just to give you a little background on the energy shot market. The energy shot market in the US is basically bigger than the whole supplement market. So, it is a very big channel and what CytoSport did was to decide to enter the energy drink market and would separate themselves from the rest of the market by having protein in their product.

You could take the CytoSport Muscle Milk Refuel as a pre-workout. A lot of people would say

A Bit More Information on CytoSport Monster Milk

December 4th, 2009 · Bodybuilding, CytoSport, whey protein

CytoSport Monster Milk is a protein based product. I would probably classify it as a lean mass gainer in so much as it is very high in protein. You get 50 grams of protein per serve. You get 18 grams of carbohydrates and 9 grams of fats. The whole premise behind Monster Milk is obviously to get a large quantity of protein into the muscle to allow it to rebuild and recover. The carbohydrates are there to add more calories and more fuel to the body and they use a blend of fats, CytoSport uses essential fatty acids predominately to help your body to burn the stored fats. A lot of people are concerned about fats in protein products, but the fats CytoSport use in the Monster Milk and Muscle Milk as well are essential fatty acids which are designed to help the body burn its own stored fats.

Lactose free, lactose is becoming more and more of an issue in the Western world. Lactose intolerance, most people are actually semi lactose intolerant. Its just the degree of lactose intolerance varies between people. So what CytoSport has done is decided to pull lactose out of their Monster Milk and Muscle Milk product. What that means is when some people take a protein shake, may not realise they are lactose intolerant and may get a little stomach upset and discomfort. Since there is not lactose in the CytoSport Monster Milk and CytoSport Muscle Milk products, there is no stomach pains and discomfort when you take it.
